The magic sauce is called a content gap analysis.
Here’s how it works:
- First, you want to go and identify all your top search competitors. You do this by making a list of all the top sites in your industry that have the best content.
- Next, you’ll want to find out all the keywords that they rank for.
- Then, you’ll want to exclude any of the terms that you rank for already (you already have a page for these).
Now I have a list of every single keyword that all my top competitors are ranking for that I’m not…yet.
What do you do with this list?
This just became your website’s newest list of topics!
Now, you go through the list and create articles on all these keywords!
